Our Story: From Mobile Showroom to Industry Leader

Marvelous Promotions was founded in 1995 by Marvin Janes Sr., a retired Detroit Police officer known affectionately as “Marvelous Marv,” and his wife Louise, a former Detroit school teacher, combined their love for people, a vast network of loyal contacts, and an entrepreneurial spirit to create a mobile shop for custom apparel.

Marvin’s journey began with a truck filled with Detroit Police merchandise, driving from precinct to precinct. This mobile showroom allowed officers to try on and purchase gear on the spot, setting the foundation for our customer-first approach that continues today.

As demand grew, so did we. In 2000, we invested in top-of-the-line Tajima embroidery machines, bringing production in-house to ensure the highest quality. Under the leadership of Marvin and Louise’s daughter, Veronica Williams-Hernalsteen, we expanded, growing from a home-based operation to our beautiful headquarters in Warren, Michigan.

Today, Marvelous Promotions brings a perfect blend of family values and professional expertise. Veronica, who has a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing from Oakland University and an MBA from Wayne State University, leads a team dedicated to continuing her parents’ legacy of excellence.
